Question

What needs to be considered during commissioning?

Answer

Before first use, check the power cord, plug and the appliance for cracks or damage. If the appliance is damaged, do not attempt to repair it yourself — contact the customer service of the retailer where the appliance was purchased. Use only original accessories and spare parts. Supervise children, persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities, and pets while the appliance is in operation. Do not allow children to play with any packaging parts. Remove all items from the packaging. Keep the packaging.

This appliance is designed to operate under the following domestic indoor climate conditions:

Minimum: >0°C

Maximum: 35°C

It is suitable for use in bedrooms, home offices, basements, kitchens, storage rooms and home computer rooms. Note: During operation, the appliance releases warm air from the air outlet. This is normal for desiccant-based dehumidifiers and should be taken into account when used in small or temperature-sensitive rooms. This appliance is intended for indoor use only.

Place the appliance on a stable, level and dry surface. Do not use the appliance in potentially explosive atmospheres. Ensure that the air inlet and air outlet are free and unobstructed. Keep at least 30 cm of clearance around the appliance. Do not allow the cable, plug, or the electrical and electronic parts of the appliance to come into contact with water or other liquids. Do not cover the air inlets and outlets of the appliance and keep them free of obstructions.

If the appliance is knocked over, bumped, or not kept upright during operation, the internal protection system will automatically stop operation. To continue using it, simply switch the appliance on again.

Do not place the appliance directly under wet laundry. Water must not drip onto the appliance — risk of damage or electric shock.

When the appliance is switched off, the fan motor will continue to run for approximately 10 minutes. This is a normal part of the drying cycle: it allows residual heat and moisture to be flushed out of the system and protects the internal desiccant element. Do not unplug the appliance while the fan is still running. Interrupting the run-on cooling phase may cause heat build-up inside the appliance, which can lead to overheating, reduced efficiency, or damage to internal components. Wait until the fan has stopped and the air outlet closes automatically before unplugging the appliance.

Clean the air filter regularly every two weeks according to the instructions in the user manual. Empty the water tank regularly when it is full. Make sure the appliance is disconnected from the mains before cleaning or performing any maintenance work.

Switch off the appliance and unplug it from the power outlet if you do not intend to use it for an extended period. Store the appliance in a dry, safe place protected from direct sunlight.
