ecoQ DryAir Alpin – My unit is displaying C1/C2, what should I do?

Question

My dehumidifier is displaying C1 or C2, what should I do? What does this mean?

Answer

This error message means that the overheating protection has been activated. The heating element switches itself off at this point, but the fan continues to run for 10 minutes to cool the unit; do not unplug it yet – only do so once the unit has completely stopped operating. You must now check whether the air filter is clean and, if necessary, clean it. The air inlet and outlet must be unobstructed. The appliance must not be placed too close to the wall either. The appliance should now cool down completely; only then can you resume operation.
