How does the front humidity indicator work?

The ecoQ DryAir 9L steady is equipped with an intelligent humidity indicator on the front, which provides the user with an immediate visual indication of the ambient humidity. The front LEDs change colour to indicate the current humidity level: Blue light: humidity above 70%, green light: humidity between 50% and 70%, red light: humidity below 50%. Please note: this display is not visible in sleep mode.
