Unfortunately, the Climastar Avant Touch cannot be placed on a stand as Climastar does not offer a suitable solution for this. This would only be possible with the Climastar Avant WiFi. However, we at ecofort AG clearly advise against operating the heater in this way. For the following reasons:
- Dust suction and possible odour emissions:
If the heater is operated on a stand, the distance to the floor is too short, which leads to the appliance sucking in more dust. This can lead to unpleasant odour emissions and, in the worst case, cause discolouration on nearby walls. We generally recommend a minimum distance of 10 cm from the floor. - Stability risk:
Particularly with a size of 50 cm x 100 cm, the appliance tends to be unstable on a stand. This poses a safety risk, especially in households with children or animals, as little force is required to tip the appliance over. Although the plate does not pose a fire hazard at a maximum temperature of 70 °C (55-65 °C in normal use), there is a risk of the stone plate breaking if it tips over.
Alternative solution:
If you want to use the heater frequently on the move, we recommend the Climastar Optimax. This model is specially designed for mobile use. The disadvantage is that it is not quite as energy-efficient in the long term as the Avant Touch or Avant WiFi. This is due to the thermostat, which is not programmable and does not provide an accurate temperature display. This makes it somewhat more difficult to set the appliance precisely.
A possible solution to this could be the ecoheat DST socket thermostat, which offers additional control.
