ecoQ CoolAir 7/9 – Drainage

Question

How is the air conditioning unit drained?

Answer

The self-evaporating system uses the collected water to cool the condenser coils, thereby achieving greater efficiency. In cooling mode, the condensate tray does not need to be emptied, except in dehumidification mode or when humidity is high. The condensate evaporates on the condenser and is discharged via the exhaust air hose.

For continuous or unattended operation in dehumidification mode, connect a drain hose to the unit. The condensate is drained into a bucket by gravity.

  1. Switch off the unit before fitting the hose.
  2. Remove the plug from the water drain opening.
  3. Connect the drain hose (ø 14 mm) securely and correctly. Ensure that it is not kinked and that there are no blockages.
  4. Position the hose outlet over a drain or bucket and ensure that the water can flow freely out of the unit.

Note: Do not submerge the end of the hose in water, as this may cause an air lock in the hose.
