Air quality

The air quality measured by the unit is shown as a number on the display and as a colour on the unit.

Number: The number on the display shows the particle load in the air. This is shown in micrograms per cubic metre (µg/m³). The lower the number, the lower the particle load and the better the air quality.

The device measures fine dust particles, with a size of 2.5 micrometres (=0.0025mm) and smaller. These particles are commonly called PM2.5.

At a reading between 0-100 micrograms, the air quality is still OK. The air quality decreases at higher loads.

Colour: The device also displays the air quality as a colour on top of the device.

Blue

means that the air quality is good.

Yellow

means that the air quality is moderate.

Red

means that the air quality is poor.
