ecofort ag offers a 5-year guarantee for the F.I.R.S.T WIST infrared heater. 

With the previous version, which was manufactured until May 2015, there were unfortunately many failures of the radio receiver.


Here is the correct procedure for determining a possible failure of the main circuit board.


Attached are our specially created instructions, which describe the correct connection and disconnection of the thermostat and heater. The instructions can be followed step by step and also contain useful additional information.


  • First carry out a correct un-pairing according to the instructions. If ERROR appears, then press OK. The heating is deleted from the thermostat.
  • Then carry out a correct pairing. The heater should be found when the LED is red during scanning. There should be a 1 under the 4 dashes.



If no connection can be established. The control unit on the back of the panel must be replaced. We can offer you the following solutions:


  • You send the heater back to us, we repair it and send it back to you.
  • We send you an already repaired heater (if available) for replacement and you then send us back your defective heater.
  • We send you the replacement part and you replace the control unit yourself. Technical skills are a prerequisite here. This video shows how the control unit can be replaced. It contains important information on cable routing, which must be observed: Replacing the WIST PCB (Unfortunately, the video is currently only available in German.)


The defective component must then be returned to us.
