Are there air conditioners without an (exhaust) hose?

There are no mobile air conditioners without an exhaust hose. However, this myth persists. False promises are made on the basis of incorrect designations. In order to effectively lower the temperature of the room air, warm exhaust air must always be discharged to the outside. If this is not necessary with a unit, then it is a so-called air cooler or fan.
Air conditioners without an exhaust hose are nothing more than fans with air humidification and therefore cannot be compared to real air conditioners. The cooling effect can be intensified by using coolants such as ice, water or cooling packs. By additionally spraying water, the air flow is perceived as cooling on the skin, although the temperature of the air is not actually lowered.
